Pastor McLaurin

Pastor McLaurin
Pastor Tony McLaurin was born and raised in Wilmington, North Carolina. After completing high school, Pastor McLaurin joined the U. S. Army and faithfully served his country until his retirement in 1996.

Pastor McLaurin answered his divine calling in 2003. He received a Certificate of Completion from the Layman's Academy at Barton College in 2005. He also completed two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) through Moore Regional Pastoral Care in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Pastor McLaurin continued in his quest for additional education and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Religious Studies from Liberty University and a minor in Christian Counseling through the American Academy of Christian Counselors.

Pastor McLaurin has been the pastoral leader of Peace Memorial Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Fayetteville, NC, for 10 years. He believes that God's people suffer because of a "lack of knowledge". He, therefore, compels those under his leadership to seek the Word of God by attending Sunday School, Bible Study and Leadership Class where it can be understood more clearly. He is a "man after God's own heart" as he genuinely loves to impart the Word to all who are willing to hear and to seek the least, last and lost.

Pastor McLaurin has been married for 37 plus years to Rochelle Williams McLaurin. They have three adult children, LaShonda, Marissa and Tony II, two sons-in-love, Cedric and Christopher, and three granddaughters, Camille, Winter and Lily.
